Kamarie Fernandes graduated from Brigham Young University in 2013 with a degree in Dance Education. She was a member and President of dancEnsemble and in 2011 Kamarie choreographed pieces as part of the Heloise Crista Project, funded by the Laycock Center for Creative Collaboration in the Arts. The project concluded with a dance concert themed on Crista's sculptures.

Kamarie spent the summer of 2011 at the Martha Graham School of Dance in New York City.
