Debora Escalante graduated from the Department of Theatre and Media Arts at BYU in 1976 with a masters degree in Theatre and Media Arts.

Escalante co-authored an article “First Comes the Child,” which appeared in the Spring 2008 edition of McKay Today Magazine. The article, written with Carol Ann Goodson analyzes the importance of the arts in the life of a child.

Escalante is the partnership research director for the Sorenson ARTS Partnership.
