In winter 2011 Hatch won second place in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest Video Challenge with his song "Answer the Phone." Hatch won $1,000 and an electric guitar out of a pool of 240 other entries.

Colin Alexander Hatch graduated from Brigham Young University in 2013 with a degree in media music studies.

In winter 2011 Hatch won second place in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest Video Challenge with his song "Answer the Phone." Hatch won $1,000 and an electric guitar out of a pool of 240 other entries.
