Brian A. Brough graduated from Brigham Young University in 1999 with a bachelor's degree in film.

Brough was an associate producer for the film Saints and Soldiers (2003). In 2006, he produced director Ryan Little’s project, Everything You Want, based on the play Sy’s Girl written by Natalie Prado, which was sold to ABC Family (Disney distribution). Brough also served as the director of Christmas Angel (2009) and of Snowbeast (2011).

In 2014 he began directing and producing Singing With Angels, a film about a woman striving to join the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. His sister Brittany Wiscombe is the co-producer and the screen-writer.

Brough's other film credits include 16 Stones, Nowhere Safe, and Scents and Sensibility.
