This play was written by Federico García Lorca and translated by Gwynne Edwards. On the evening of her wedding day, a young bride deserts her newlywed husband and runs away with her former love. Exploring themes of family, honor, and death, this tragic masterpiece is considered the greatest Spanish play of the twentieth century. Lorca weaves together poetry, dancing, folk music, and striking visual images to tell the heart-wrenching sotry of the three ill-fated lovers.

Ran March 3-6, 10-13, and 16-20 at 7:30pm with a Saturday matinee March 13 at 2pm in the Margetts Theatre at BYU.
