Benjamin Crandall graduated from Brigham Young University in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in piano and organ performance and in 2003 with a master's degree in music. In 2001, he was awarded an Oscarson Discovery Grant, which paid for him to visit many historic organs in Germany and Switzerland.
