Benjamin Garry Isaacs graduated from Brigham Young University in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in music dance theater.

In 2010, he played the role of Orlando in BYU's production of As You Like It. In the 2012 Region VIII Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF), Isaacs was awarded the National Partners of the American Theatre's Classical Acting Award. Also in 2012, he was in the cast of The Fantasticks at the Covey Center for the Arts in Provo.

Isaacs and his partner, Magarin Hobson, were selected as finalists for the 2013 Irene Ryan award. Isaacs was also a semi-finalist in the 2014 Irene Ryan competition with his partner Alyssa Kinkade. Regional competition winners receive a scholarship, have their travel expenses to the nationals reimbursed, and have a chance to receive one of the two national Irene Ryan Scholarships. Also in 2014, Isaacs played the role of the "Common Man" and the narrator in BYU's production of A Man for All Seasons. The same year, he worked as part of the cast in BYU's full-length production of the film Beyond.
