Amy Benson Lacey graduated from Brigham Young University in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in music.

In 2010, Lacey and her sisters Alison Benson Moulton and Valerie Benson Christensen created Up Kind of Day, a CD that uses a variety of musical styles to teach children routines to make cleaning fun.
