Trevor Jason Wright graduated summa cum laude from Brigham Young University in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in media arts studies.

He traveled to Cambodia in 2007, where he took documentary-like photos of children that were displayed in the Harris Fine Arts Center in 2008. Trevor won both the Outstanding Media Arts Student and Overall Outstanding Theatre and Media Arts Student in 2009.

From 2007 to 2012, Wright directed and produced the film River of Victory. The trailer won an honorable mention award at the Student Film Association Festival, Final Cut. The film later was one of 5 nominees for the 2011 International Documentary Association's (IDA) David L. Wolper Documentary Award. This is the first time a BYU film has received this significant honor. The film was scheduled for DVD release in Fall 2012.

In 2013 both River of Victory and Finding Sang Ly, a film that Wright created with fellow alumnus A. Todd Smith, were shown at the LDS Film Festival.
