Murray Boren

Murray E. Boren graduated from Brigham Young University with bachelor's degree in music in 1975 and a master's degree in music theory and composition in 1977.

Boren was a faculty member of the School of Music.

Boren is the composer of nearly 100 chamber works and nine operas, including The Book of Gold, written for the celebration of Joseph Smith's birthday.
