Lawrence P. Vincent, tenor, graduated with a bachelor's degree in music from Brigham Young University in 1973. It was at BYU that he met and married his best friend and singing partner Jean Prows Vincent. The couple have three sons: Todd, Ethan, and Zachary, and have spent more than half of their married life in Trier, Germany and Vienna, Austria where Lawrence was under contract as a principal operatic tenor.

Vincent and his wife have done many missionary concerts for the Church throughout Europe and Asia. In 1994 the couple was awarded Austrian Citizenship for Lawrence's "extraordinary contribution to the arts."

Lawrence currently teaches at BYU where he serves as the head of the Opera Division in the School of Music. One of his many students was Thomas Glenn, a Grammy award-winner and renowned opera singer.

Vincent spoke at the University Devotional on November 3, 2003. His speech was entitled "Ordinary Lives, Extraordinary Miracles."
