Jeffrey L. Hinton
Jeffrey L. Hinton graduated in 1986 with a BA in French and a minor in Music. Since then, he has actively used both degrees – teaching French at Mountain Ridge Junior High School in Highland, Utah, and pursuing a career in country music.
As a singer and songwriter, Hinton’s songs have been recorded by LDS artists such as Jessie Clark Funk. Personally, he has performed twice in the Charlie Daniels’ Talent Roundup, broadcast nationally on The Nashville Network.
Hinton is also a member of the Christian country band Joshua Creek. He and fellow alumnus Quint B. Randle comprise the band, which has reached No. 1 on Power Source Magazine’s top-20 list. Joshua Creek’s song, “What Kinda Car?” was ranked No. 1 in both the November and December issues of Christian-Country Gospel News. Their hit song, “Everything I Need,” was featured on CBS’ The Young & The Restless, on Friday, December 21, 2007.
