Donna Pauley Fairbanks graduated from | Brigham Young University in with a bachelor's degree in music. She also holds a doctorate of musical arts degree in violin performance from the University of Arizona and a master's degree in music from the Eastman School of Music.
She has taught private violin at the University of Minnesota's MacPhail Center for the Arts and has been a guest artist at the Universidade Estadual de Londrina in Brazil. In addition to many performances at BYU and in Utah, she has soloed with orchestras throughout the United States and Latin America and performs regularly in the United States and abroad in solo recitals.
Fairbanks is a faculty member in the BYU School of Music.
