Personal Life

Delynne Butcher Peay was born on October 5, 1951 to "Bud" and Juanita Butcher in Salt Lake City, Utah. She grew up and graduated high school in Murray, Utah. She married Garth H. Peay, May 21, 1976, in the Salt Lake Temple.

Career and Education

Peay graduated from Brigham Young University in 1975 studying education. While there, she joined the International Folk Dance team and danced with the group's founder, Mary Bee Jensen. Peay later became an assistant director of the International Folk Dance team with Mary Bee Jensen and Dennis Hill. Since 1974, Peay was an adjunct dance professor at Brigham Young University, a director, teacher, and choreographer.

Peay passed away on January 13, 2014.
