2008 Global L'Oreal Brandstorm Competition
Blake Hadley graduated from Brigham Young University in 2008 with a degree in advertising.

While at BYU, Hadley was involved in creating an ad campaign for the Ad Council to battle childhood obesity. The BYU AdLab worked alongside McCann Erickson and GSD&M, two nationally recognized advertising agencies, to promote better nutrition and increased activity for kids. The ad campaign was revealed on February 1, 2008 in Washington D.C. Hadley, along with his mentor Jeffrey Sheets were in attendance.

In April 2008, Hadley won first place in the annual L’Oreal Brandstorm competition in New York City along with fellow students Matthew Miller and Monica McGhie. The team also was awarded “Best Communication Campaign.” In June, the team traveled to Paris with their advisor Jeff Sheets to compete in the Global L'Oreal Brandstorm competition, claiming both the International Finals Top Prize and the Best Communication Campaign. The BYU Ad Lab team beat out teams from 38 countries and became the first team from the United States to ever win the top prize.
