Andrew Todd Smith is a student at Brigham Young University majoring in media arts studies.

Smith and three other BYU students spent the summer of 2010 in Thailand working to produce a human trafficking documentary titled, Saints and Slaves in Siam. In 2011 Smith produced the film River of Victory, with fellow students Jordan Augustine and Trevor Wright. The film won an honorable mention award at the Student Film Association Festival, The Final Cut, and was a finalist for the 2011 International Documentary Awards (student category). This is the first BYU film to ever receive this significant honor.

At the College Television Awards competition in 2012 Smith received the Outstanding Director Award for his work Mr. Bellpond, which also received the award for Best Comedy. He also aided in the production of My Hero, which was named Best Children's Movie. Smith also co-wrote and edited Still I Strive, which received high praise from Richard Kuipers of Variety.

In 2013 Finding Sang Ly, which Smith co-created with Trevor Wright, and Mr. Bellpond, were both shown at the LDS Film Festival. Additionally, Mr. Bellpond received a Rocky Mountain Emmy Award in the category of Student Long Form for Fiction or Non Fiction. He was the director of photography for the film Mythica, which was screened at the 2015 LDS Film Festival.
